Office meeting notes 2-11-09
NEW - effective Feb. 16 when you take a 7% listing then the seller does not have to pay the $175.00 broker commission fee.
Joe wanted to let everyone know that during these hard times when others are cutting back on agent development and marketing, we are locally getting ready to launch our “qualified answers” campaign and our “project trusted advisor” agent development program all designed to help our agents capture the business they deserve at the fee that they deserve.
The US Senate approved last week an amendment to give a tax credit up to $15,000 to anyone buying a home. If passed by Congress in this latest version, the homebuyer tax credit would be: either $15,000 or 10% of the purchase price (whichever is less) available to all homebuyers not just first time buyers. To include both new and existing homes that will be used as their primary residence only and need to live in the home for a minimum of 2 yrs. This will be for one calendar year from enactment of the legislation.
There is going to be a lot more land contracts in the near future. Mike Fletcher will be here at our March 3 meeting to answer any questions you might have regarding land contracts. What you can do and cannot do when writing a contract with a land contract.
Congratulations to Tim, Gary, Doc and Bill on receiving excellent Service Satisfaction Surveys this week.
Sign up sheet was passed around for the “Foreclosures & short sales” class that is going to be held at the Receptions in Loveland. Their address is 10681 Loveland Madeira Rd. There will be one class from 9 to12PM and another from 1-4PM on Thurs. February 19. A lot of our business now days involve these kinds of sales so you need to attend and find out how to do them. If you have not signed up please call Susan Trefilek in the Training Dept. (686-7643) to reserve your spot for the class.
